WELCOME

Welcome, and thank you for stopping by. We are truly honored that you have. Now, before you get started on this ride, let us brief you on a few things you will need to know. To start with, the purpose of this web site, is not only to help you learn more about this ministry and what it is that God has us do, but it is also our hope that it will allow us to make non-riders more aware of other aspects of the motorcycling culture as well.

In other words, it's our desire that this site will in part; teach, train, equip and minister in some small way, to those who may or may not ride motorcycles; as well as those folks that may or may not yet have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.

Additionally, this site is not only set up as a resource with which to access the information needed to familiarize yourself with this ministry; but with all of the other information and the helpful things that are scattered throughout, it can also be used as a kind of 'toolbox', for both life, and ministry - and how cool is that.

So take your time, and enjoy the ride. Be sure to click on every button, watch every video and just have fun with all the things this web site has to offer. It is our hope and desire, that your time with us, is not only informative, but enjoyable and inspirational as well.

- Now, Have A Great Ride -

What Is

Iron Horse Ministries?

Over the years, we have discovered that because of the depth of this ministry that God has created, one of the best ways to answer this question, is to summarize the basic aspects. So here they are: Iron Horse Ministries (I.H.M.), is a true Christ-centered, Non-denominational, Para-church, Non-profit, Nation-wide, Motorcycle Ministry (M/M).

Now, even though this list may seem sufficient, please know that God has created a number of other rather unique aspects of this ministry, that are not mentioned here. The main reason they are not, is because we do not want to come across as boastful. So with that in mind, it is our hope that as you travel through this web site, you will enjoy discovering for yourself, some of those 'other' aspects. And how cool is that.

What Is The Mission

Of Iron Horse Ministries?

The mission of Iron Horse Ministries is simple, and yet, far reaching in its scope. It is, 'Building Bridges To Christ'. This is done in part by: Quietly, creatively and respectfully doing what is necessary, to help bridge the gap between riders and non-riders, between believers and non-believers, and any one else for that matter; all in an effort to point as many as possible, to a personal and loving relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.

How Is This

Mission Accomplished?

The Great Commission given to us as believers in Mathew 28:19 says in part: ". . . . go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." In addition, scripture says in Romans 10:13-15: "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But how can they call on Him to save them, unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him, if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him, unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them, without first being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, 'How beautiful are the feet of the messengers, who bring good news!'" With that, we have our mission, and in part, how to accomplish it.

Though God may use many creative means to accomplish His mission through this ministry, He always has us serve Him with a missionary mindset. What is a missionary mindset you ask? For us, it is defined as: Each member exhibiting a distinct mindset that sets them apart as passionate advocates for Christ. We are also driven by a profound belief in the ministry's mission and values, and we genuinely care about making a positive impact on the riders in our area, as well as society at large. We also go above and beyond the call of God on our lives, to embrace the long-term success and sustainability of God's ministry, by continually building bridges to Christ.

You need to know that serving like this, affects all of our life's decisions. With a missionary mindset, the choices of house, job, how we raise our children, what we spend our money and our leisure time on (and yes, even our motorcycles), are all determined within the parameters of fulfilling God's great commission. Though the world may make these choices on the basis of profit, pleasure, self-centeredness and satisfaction, we as followers of the crucified and risen Christ, choose the glory of God and other people's salvation, as the basis for our life's decisions and service. For us, there is just no other way.

To God Be The Glory

For Ever And Ever,

Amen
